Student Tours

October through May: Bring your students for McNay tours at 9:30 am, 10:45 am, or noon on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Fridays. On Thursdays, come at 10:15 and 11:30 am. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

June through September: Bring students after 10:00 am these months.

Requirements: Student groups under age 18 must bring one (1) adult for every ten (10) students. All docent-led student tours are free. Allow at least two weeks' notice in scheduling your group. Cost for adults exceeding the required number is $5 per person; an added charge may be required during select exhibitions.

McNay Bus Fund

The McNay receives funding to cover the cost of school buses for San Antonio area schools that come for docent-led tours.

Adult Tours

Please review the Adult Visit Menu for tour themes on the McNay’s main collection and tours of select exhibitions before completing the Adult group request form or contacting the Scheduler.

Scheduling and Fees

Tours may be scheduled for any duration up to an hour and a half. The fee for an adult group of ten (10) or more is $5 per person, which includes admission to the museum. (For select exhibitions, an additional fee may be charged.) No other discounts for admission apply for adult groups.

To confirm the adult tour visit and discounted rate, payment is requested in advance. When you contact us, we will need to know:

• Topic or exhibition you wish to see
• Choice of two dates and times
• Size of group
• Credit card number for payment

Audio Tours

Bring your cell phone and tour 50 stops in the McNay’s Main Collection Galleries and Stieren Center for Exhibitions. Sample the tour from home by calling 210.547.9720 for English, 210.547.9724 for Spanish. Enter the stop number of your choice, followed by the # key.
