Commissioned by the McNay, Philip Grausman’s over 14-foot stainless steel portrait sculpture Victoria was installed on the museum's grounds on March 11, 2008. Victoria’s simplified but sensual modeling gives life and personality to the cast-metal face.

Head of Medusa

Sculpted in 1906, Gabrielle Dumontet’s bronze depicts the mythological character Medusa’s tormented face surrounded by her infamous hair of serpents. Small incandescent bulbs illuminate each serpent’s mouth.
